Paris EWC 2026 gives mobile esports another $75m global stage
The 2026 Esports World Cup Paris event will feature more than 2,000 players, 200 clubs, 100 countries and over $75 million in prize money, with major mobile titles included.
The 2026 Esports World Cup is heading to Paris from 6 July to 23 August, and mobile esports will again be part of the wider spectacle. The event is expected to bring together more than 2,000 players, 200 clubs and competitors from over 100 countries, with more than $75 million in prize money across the full programme.
For mobile fans, the key names include Free Fire, Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile, all of which have built enormous competitive audiences outside the traditional PC esports bubble. The Paris setting also matters because mobile esports still fights for legitimacy in some Western markets. Put those games on a stage with that prize pool and that many clubs, and it becomes harder to pretend mobile competition is some side act. It is part of the main show now.
