Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy gets its first real direction-check broadcast today

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy reaches an important post-launch checkpoint today. Square Enix is holding the game’s first official update showcase on May 23, with producer Naoya Matsumoto expected to outline new characters, new abilities and fixes for known issues. The broadcast comes after the mobile 3v3 battler launched in March to a mixed but interested response: players liked the combat and art direction, while complaints focused on gacha pacing and story access.

That makes this stream more than a simple content preview. It is Square Enix’s first serious chance to show mobile players where Duellum is going after launch. A Final Fantasy Record Keeper collaboration is already expected near the end of May, but fans will be watching for a broader roadmap, especially new playable character plans.
