Honor Win 2 leak suggests gaming phones are about to get even more excessive

Honor’s next gaming phone may be heading straight into delightful nonsense territory. A new leak points to a possible Honor Win 2 with a 2nm Snapdragon 8-series flagship chip, a battery larger than 10,000mAh, a second-generation active cooling fan and a larger 6.89-inch 2K+ display with a 185Hz refresh rate. Notebookcheck notes that Honor has not confirmed the details, so this remains firmly in rumor territory.

Still, the direction is believable because Chinese gaming phones are currently fighting on endurance, cooling and display smoothness as much as raw chip power. If the leak is accurate, Honor is not trying to make a subtle flagship. It is trying to make a phone for players who want laptop-sized ambitions in a pocket slab. The battery alone makes this worth watching, provided the device does not become a brick with a fan club.
