OnePlus compact OLED tablet leak hints at a serious Android gaming slate

OnePlus may be preparing exactly the kind of compact Android tablet mobile players keep asking for: small enough to hold comfortably, powerful enough to run heavy games and fast enough on display refresh to feel properly premium. A new leak points to an 8.8-inch OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, an 8,000mAh battery and 67W charging.

Notebookcheck notes that the device may be related to Oppo’s Pad Mini hardware, which makes sense inside the OnePlus-Oppo family tree. This is still leak territory, so no one should start selling their existing tablet yet. But the idea is strong. Android gaming tablets work best when they are not awkward laptop replacements. A compact OLED OnePlus slate with flagship-class hardware could be a very nice Genshin, emulation and cloud-gaming couch machine.
