Clash Royale Merge Tactics Season 9 crowns Tomb Queen as the new ruler

Clash Royale’s Merge Tactics mode is getting one of its bigger shake-ups yet with Season 9. The headline arrival is Tomb Queen, a new Undead-focused Ruler whose Regal Revival ability spawns a Tombstone at the start of battle before she enters the fight herself. That alone changes how early rounds can develop, but Supercell is also adding Ruler Quests, Quest Orbs, new equipment, troop changes, trait reworks and a wider modifier set.

The new equipment list is especially important because it includes trait-granting items and aggressive tools like Assassin Blade, Ranger Crossbow and Superstar Ring. This is the kind of update that can refresh a mode without needing to rebuild the whole game. It also shows Supercell is still using Clash Royale as a playground for faster, more experimental strategy formats, not just classic ladder frustration in a fancy arena coat.
