OnePlus compact OLED tablet leak keeps the Android gaming slate dream alive

OnePlus is still sitting in the mobile gaming hardware conversation thanks to leaks around a compact OLED tablet. The rumored device is said to use an 8.8-inch OLED screen with 144Hz refresh, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-class hardware, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, an 8,000mAh battery and 67W charging.

That is exactly the spec shape many Android players want: not a giant productivity slab, not a tiny phone, but a compact couch-friendly gaming tablet with enough display and chip power for heavy games, cloud streaming and emulation. This remains leak territory, so treat it carefully. But the idea is strong because compact Android tablets have quietly become one of the best formats for mobile gaming.

Phones are convenient, PC handhelds are powerful, but a small OLED tablet with flagship-class internals could hit a very useful middle ground.
