Clash of Clans has rolled out its May 2026 update, and this one is aimed less at fireworks and more at reducing long-term friction. The biggest Builder Base change is a second permanent Builder, available from Builder Hall 2 onward once players have all five Home Village Builders unlocked. That is a useful progression pressure valve for players who have watched Builder Base upgrades crawl along at the speed of an elderly goblin carrying bricks.

The Barbarian King also unlocks much earlier, moving from Town Hall 7 to Town Hall 4 in a reduced-strength form that scales up until normal Hero progression begins. Supercell says this is meant to give newer players access to Hero gameplay sooner. Gold Pass improvements are coming too, including retroactive Stamp Card premium points and a loyalty Stamp for consecutive purchases.

Returning players also get new events, which is smart because Clash is old enough that half the player base has probably quit and returned at least once.
