MLB The Show Mobile’s launch window gets messy, but baseball is close

Release trackers previously pointed to 26 May for MLB The Show Mobile Baseball, while the App Store currently shows an expected 28 May date in some regions, making this a launch-watch story rather than a clean touchdown.

MLB The Show Mobile’s launch window gets messy, but baseball is close

MLB The Show Mobile Baseball is today’s slightly awkward launch-window story. GamingOnPhone’s May release tracker listed the game for 26 May, but the App Store page visible in some regions now shows an expected 28 May date. That makes this less of a clean “it is live everywhere” story and more of a careful launch-watch item.

The game itself is still worth covering because PlayStation Mobile is bringing one of Sony’s biggest sports names properly into mobile, with card collection, over 900 player cards, official MLB and MLBPI teams and athletes, all 30 stadiums, PvP matchups, Moments, Show Pass progression, an online marketplace and a Momentum system. This is not just a companion app with nicer shoes. It is a standalone mobile baseball game designed around shorter sessions and card-driven roster building.

The key question is whether it feels like real baseball or a booster-pack economy wearing a batting helmet.
