How Many Dudes? turns meme mathematics into premium roguelike chaos
Butterscotch Shenanigans’ roguelike dudebuilder launches July 30 on Android, iOS and PC, with 42 Dude types, 6 families, relics, trinkets and absurd team synergies.
How Many Dudes? sounds like the kind of game title someone shouted during a very stupid group chat, but Butterscotch Shenanigans is turning it into an actual roguelike dudebuilder. The studio behind Crashlands is launching the game on Android, iOS and PC on July 30, with mobile pre-registration now open. The premise takes the viral “100 men versus 1 gorilla” thought experiment and transforms it into team-building chaos.
Players recruit 42 unique Dude types across six Dude families, stack relics and trinkets, survive waves and build ridiculous synergies. GamingOnPhone notes more than 850,000 possible team combinations, which is either impressive design depth or a warning that players will spend too long optimizing bearded nonsense. The App Store listing suggests a $9.99 launch price, making this one to watch for premium mobile fans who miss games with actual personality.
