MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ turns Computex into an Intel handheld showcase

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is one of Computex 2026’s biggest portable-gaming hardware stories. MSI is positioning it as the world’s first handheld powered by Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme processor, which gives Intel a serious chance to rewrite the awkward first impression left by earlier Claw hardware. The device features an 8-inch 1920x1200 120Hz touchscreen, redesigned grips, Hall effect sticks and triggers, upgraded haptics and support for up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory.

Reports also point to premium pricing, which means MSI needs more than a flashy spec sheet. It needs real performance, battery life, thermals and software polish. Still, the handheld market needs competition, and an Intel-powered device with serious graphics hardware could make the post-Steam Deck landscape more interesting. The portable PC fight is getting louder.
