MONOPOLY GO! prepares a massive Springfield takeover for June 3

MONOPOLY GO! is getting one of its biggest pop-culture crossovers yet as The Simpsons moves into the board on June 3. Scopely’s Springfield takeover brings themed boards, episode-style sticker sets, collectibles, tokens, shields, dice, emojis and special Chance Cards. The collaboration also adds new gameplay features such as The Simpsons Run and Bribe Wiggum, while railroad-style elements are being reworked into Springfield Monorail-themed Shutdowns and Heists.

For a casual mobile game built around events, social pressure and collecting, this is an obvious fit. The Simpsons gives MONOPOLY GO! recognizable characters and locations, while the game gives the show a modern mobile loop built on dice, stickers and chaos. The real question is how generous the event economy feels. A funny crossover is great, but players will judge it by rewards, sticker pressure and whether the best cosmetics sit behind too much spending.
