Among the Sleep brings toddler-sized horror to phones today
Krillbite Studio and Snapbreak Games bring Among the Sleep to Android and iOS today, turning first-person psychological horror into a mobile nightmare through a child’s perspective.
Among the Sleep is the biggest atmosphere-first mobile launch of June 2. Krillbite Studio’s psychological horror game, published on mobile by Snapbreak Games, is built around one of the strongest horror perspectives in games: seeing the world through the eyes of a two-year-old child. Normal rooms become huge, shadows become threatening, and the player’s small size makes every corridor feel hostile. That is a much more interesting hook than another haunted hallway with a flashlight and a very bad plan.
The mobile version has been listed for June 2 on Android and iOS, and it should be a good fit if the controls and sound design survive the port. This is the kind of game players should play with headphones, not casually between notifications. Horror on mobile works best when the phone becomes a little window into something uncomfortable. Among the Sleep has the concept to do exactly that.
