MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is one of Computex’s most important handheld stories because it gives Intel a serious chance to reset the narrative after the first Claw wave struggled. The Verge’s hands-on coverage says the new handheld uses Intel Arc G3 Extreme and Panther Lake silicon, with Intel claiming big performance-per-watt improvements against existing AMD handheld competition. The device includes an 80Wh battery, 8-inch high-refresh VRR display, Hall effect sticks, drift-resistant controls and improved ergonomics.
Early impressions around real gameplay performance look promising, though the reported premium price will make buyers pause. That is the key tension.
