MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ keeps Intel Arc G3 Extreme in the Computex spotlight

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is still one of the biggest portable-gaming hardware stories coming out of Computex. MSI says the handheld is powered by Intel’s handheld-optimized Arc G3 Extreme processor, positioning it as a serious performance jump over earlier Claw models. The device uses an 8-inch 1920x1200 120Hz touchscreen, redesigned controller-style grips, Hall effect sticks and triggers, improved haptics and support for up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory.

This matters because Intel needs a strong second impression in the handheld PC market after earlier devices struggled to win over players. The Claw 8 EX AI+ gives Intel and MSI a chance to prove they can compete with AMD-powered handhelds on more than spec-sheet optimism. The missing pieces are price, battery behavior and real-world benchmarks. In handheld gaming, hype is easy. Efficient sustained performance is hard.
