Mobile Legends Project Reforge will keep old skins from looking ancient
MOONTON says Project Reforge is becoming a long-term annual initiative to upgrade older MLBB skins with improved models, effects, colours and presentation.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is making Project Reforge a long-term skin-upgrade initiative, and that is smarter than it sounds. MOONTON says older skins will continue receiving visual improvements every year so they do not feel outdated as MLBB’s art standards rise. The goal is not to turn every old skin into a premium-tier redesign, but to bring classic and lower-tier skins closer to modern expectations through better models, cleaner colours, clearer skill effects and more consistent hero identity.
That matters because players often bought or earned skins years ago, and those cosmetics can start looking rough beside newer releases. Project Reforge 2.0 is basically a preservation project for player purchases and nostalgia. It also shows how mature live-service games need maintenance beyond new heroes and new events. Sometimes keeping old content respectable is just as important as selling the next shiny skin.
