MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ keeps Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme handheld comeback in focus

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is still the handheld PC hardware story to watch after Computex. Tom’s Hardware reports that the device uses Intel Arc G3 Extreme with integrated Arc B390 graphics, up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory, an 8-inch 1920x1200 touchscreen with 48–120Hz VRR, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and an 80Wh battery. The controls include Hall-effect triggers and sticks, a D-pad and haptics. The key point is that this is Intel’s real handheld reset attempt after the first Claw generation struggled to convince players.

Early hands-on impressions praise the ergonomics, but pricing remains the monster in the room, with an early pulled listing suggesting a very high $1,699.99 configuration. Great hardware is exciting. Great hardware at laptop money is harder to sell.
