MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ keeps Intel’s handheld comeback expensive but exciting

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ remains one of the biggest handheld PC stories after Computex. Tom’s Hardware reports that the device uses Intel Arc G3 Extreme with integrated Arc B390 graphics, up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory, an 8-inch 1920x1200 touchscreen with 48–120Hz variable refresh, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and an 80Wh battery. It also includes Hall-effect sticks and triggers, a responsive D-pad and improved grips.

This matters because Intel needs a strong handheld reset after the first Claw generation struggled to convince players. The hardware looks promising, but the price conversation is uncomfortable, with an early listing pointing toward very premium territory. Great handheld performance is exciting. Laptop-level pricing is where excitement meets reality.
