MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ keeps Intel Arc G3 Extreme in the handheld spotlight
MSI’s Claw 8 EX AI+ uses Intel Arc G3 Extreme, an 8-inch 120Hz VRR display, Hall-effect controls, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and an 80Wh battery.
MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ remains one of the biggest handheld PC stories after Computex. MSI positions it as the first gaming handheld powered by Intel Arc G3 Extreme, with an 8-inch 1920x1200 display, 120Hz variable refresh, Hall-effect sticks and triggers, improved ergonomics, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and an 80Wh battery. The device matters because Intel needs a stronger handheld reset after the first Claw generation struggled to convince players.
The hardware looks promising, especially for buyers who want a premium Windows handheld with serious performance. The price conversation is still the monster in the room. Great handheld performance is exciting. Premium handheld pricing is where excitement meets reality, and the Claw will have to justify every bit of it.
