Clash of Clans June update adds Hero Journey, new levels and fast-forward battles

Clash of Clans is getting a chunky June update, and Hero Journey is the headline feature. The update adds a long-term hero progression layer with rewards tied to hero upgrades, including equipment, skins, ores and more. It also brings new levels, a new Troop, a new Spell, a fast-forward option for live battles after enough time has passed, and Clan Capital improvements.

The fast-forward feature is especially welcome because nobody enjoys watching one lonely Archer slowly commit architectural vandalism while the clock drips away. For Clash players, this is the kind of update that does two jobs at once: it gives veterans more progression to chase and makes daily play less painful.
