Recent handheld PC coverage continues to highlight RAM and SSD shortages driving up prices across premium devices.
The handheld PC market is still stuck in the component-cost swamp. RAM and SSD pressure, fuelled by broader AI demand, keeps pushing prices up and making premium handhelds feel less like impulse gadgets and more like portable mortgages. Faster chips are great, but if every handheld needs a payment plan, the Steam Deck era may start looking like the good old days.
