SteamOS desktop support opens custom Steam Machine builds

SteamOS is creeping closer to a proper desktop comeback, letting players build their own Steam Machine-style PCs with SteamOS 3.8.10. It is still not the frictionless console dream yet, especially if you care about dual-booting or Nvidia support, but the direction is clear. Valve wants SteamOS out of the handheld cage and into the living room again.
