Tilt to Live returns to modern iPhones

Tilt to Live is back on modern iPhones, which means an entire generation of players can once again discover the ancient mobile ritual of looking ridiculous while tilting a phone in public. The classic game is simple: move a tiny arrow, dodge dangerous red dots, grab power-ups and survive as long as possible.

That sounds primitive beside today’s enormous mobile RPGs full of currencies, banners and daily chores, but that is exactly the point. Early mobile classics understood the hardware. Tilt to Live used the phone itself as the controller, and that still has charm. Sometimes the best update is not a huge expansion. Sometimes it is just making a great old idea work again.
