Angry Birds Dream Blast is running a movie-themed event until July 21, bringing scenes from The Angry Birds Movie into the puzzle spin-off. It is a neat example of Rovio’s oldest superpower: turning birds into a full media ecosystem and then bouncing pieces of that ecosystem back into mobile games like a very marketable boomerang. For players, it means themed content and a reason to return.
