Ragnarok: The New World has opened mobile pre-download today, setting the stage for its July 16 launch across Android, iOS and PC. Ragnarok players know this ritual well: download early, check servers, prepare names, argue about classes and then sprint into launch day like a nostalgia-powered mob. The cross-platform setup is important because MMORPG players increasingly expect progress to move between devices instead of being trapped on one screen.
Mobile pre-download also helps soften the day-one server stampede, or at least gives players something to do while waiting. Tomorrow is the real test, but today the hype client is officially installed.
