Motorola Edge 70 Max launched yesterday, and today it belongs firmly in the gaming-phone conversation even if it is not wearing RGB armour. The phone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 6.82-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, and a huge 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery. Reports also highlight 90W wired charging and 25W Qi2 wireless charging support. That combination is very attractive for mobile players: performance, refresh rate, endurance and fast top-ups.

It may not be branded like a dedicated gaming beast, but that is part of the appeal. Some gamers want power without carrying a cyberpunk prop.
