REDMAGIC Astra 2 is now one day from its global launch, and the spec sheet is still shouting at normal tablets from across the room. The gaming tablet is listed with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, a RedCore R4 gaming chip, a 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED display at up to 185Hz, visible liquid cooling, an 8,300mAh battery and 75W fast charging. That is compact Android gaming hardware with serious intent.
The size is the most interesting part: bigger than a phone, easier to hold than a full tablet, and aimed directly at shooters, MOBAs, racers and emulation. Tomorrow, pricing becomes the final boss.
