Langrisser: Sea of Swords opens pre-registration

Langrisser: Sea of Swords has opened pre-registration, giving tactical RPG fans a new reason to sharpen their grid-based decision-making skills. The game puts players in the role of the Nameless One, an amnesiac warrior with a mysterious companion, a magical sword and the usual fantasy problem of being dropped into national rivalries with suspiciously little preparation.

The pitch focuses on tactical combat, hand-drawn visuals and a story built around conflicts between nations rather than simple monster-of-the-week wandering. Langrisser has strategy pedigree, so expectations will be higher than usual. Mobile tactical RPG fans are picky, and honestly, they have earned the right to be.
