Roblox unveils mobile-first AI creation tool Build

Roblox has revealed Build, a mobile-first AI creation tool that lets users generate basic games from text prompts directly inside the Roblox app. That is not just another AI feature; it is a serious platform statement. Roblox wants creation to move beyond desktop tools and into the hands of mobile users who can describe a gameplay idea, generate a starting point, refine it, test it and potentially publish it.

Build will enter public alpha in New Zealand first, with agentic AI tools for Roblox Studio also beginning testing later this month. The big question is quality control. AI can lower the barrier to creation, but Roblox still needs discovery to reward games people actually want to play.
