Multisystem 2 Pocket adds another FPGA-style handheld to watch

A new MiSTer-style handheld called Multisystem 2 Pocket is on the way, and that is catnip for retro players who care about accuracy as much as convenience. FPGA-style devices appeal to a different part of the handheld market: not just ‘can it emulate this?’ but ‘does it feel close to original hardware?’ That is a very specific kind of obsession, and the retro scene is full of it. A pocketable version could be compelling if it gets screen, controls, battery and core support right.

It is not mainstream mobile hardware, but it belongs in the same portable-gaming conversation because every year the line between handheld, emulator, retro console and mobile device gets blurrier.
