War Legends proves RTS still has a mobile battlefield

War Legends is still one of the week’s strongest mobile picks because it dares to say the forbidden sentence: real-time strategy can work on phones. The game is available on iOS and Android with campaign missions, troop micromanagement, multiple structures and custom online PvP for up to six players. That is a serious RTS shopping list for a touchscreen. The challenge is obvious: mobile controls can either make strategy feel clever or make your fingers feel like they joined the wrong army.

But the ambition is welcome. Mobile strategy has plenty of timers, castles and idle systems. A proper unit-command battlefield deserves attention if it keeps the chaos readable.
