REDMAGIC Astra 2 is now properly in the global hardware conversation, and early reviews are very strong. Android Central says the compact gaming tablet starts at $749/€699/£599, adds liquid cooling, uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and features a 9.06-inch 2400 x 1504 OLED panel with up to 185Hz refresh. That is exactly the kind of spec sheet mobile gamers stare at for too long before making poor financial decisions.
The most interesting bit is size: bigger than a phone, more comfortable than a giant tablet, and clearly built for long gaming sessions. No cellular model is a shame, but the gaming pitch is loud.
