Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble opens mobile pre-registration

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble has opened pre-registration on iOS and Android, turning the PlayStation duo into a mobile multiplayer arena shooter. The game lets players step into the shoes of familiar and new characters, use wild series weaponry and jump into different modes, including playful takes on sports-style battles.

Traditional fans may grumble that this is not the big single-player adventure they wanted, but as a mobile spin-off it makes sense: short matches, big character recognition and chaotic weapons are a natural fit for phones. The real test will be control feel. If the movement sings, this could be more than a nostalgia ping.
