Wuthering Waves expands beyond games with Elysium anime

Wuthering Waves is stepping deeper into transmedia with Wuthering Waves: Elysium, a newly revealed animated series based on the open-world action RPG. Kuro Games is launching it under Kuro Onroad, a new animation label designed to expand the company’s worlds beyond games. That is a big brand move. Successful mobile and cross-platform RPGs increasingly want to be more than apps; they want concerts, animation, merchandise and fandom loops that keep players engaged between updates.

If Elysium lands well, Wuthering Waves gets another way to turn characters and lore into long-term loyalty.
