Pokémon Sleep has now passed $234.9 million in estimated lifetime player spending, proving once again that the Pokémon brand can turn almost anything into a serious mobile business, including going to bed. The global anniversary is being marked today, with year-three spending still strong even as year-on-year revenue declined slightly. New anniversary features include Munchlax’s Nap Island and more EXP-based progression hooks.

It remains one of mobile’s stranger sleeper hits: part wellness app, part creature collector, part bedtime monetisation machine. Somehow, counting sleep became a business model.
