Samsung Unpacked puts foldables back in the gaming conversation

Samsung’s July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event brings foldables back into the mobile gaming conversation. The Galaxy Z Fold line matters for gaming because foldables sit between phones and tablets: pocketable enough to carry, large enough to make RPGs, strategy games and cloud gaming feel more comfortable. Pre-event reporting points to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 as expected highlights, with Snapdragon-powered performance rumoured for the Fold line.

The big questions for gamers are screen shape, battery, thermals, controller fit and price. Foldables are not gaming phones, but they can be excellent gaming screens.
