Final Fantasy XIV Mobile remains one of July’s biggest mobile disappointments. The China version is shutting down on September 30, and the global launch has been cancelled. For a brand this strong, that is a hard stop. It also says something about how difficult mobile MMO adaptation really is. A giant name can open the door, but it cannot guarantee the product fits the platform, region or business model.
