Palworld Online announced as a mobile MMORPG for 2026

Garena will publish Palworld Online globally in 2026, bringing Pocketpair's creature-filled survival universe to mobile as a dedicated MMORPG rather than a direct port. The project will feature an original story, large regions to explore, Pal collection, base building and cooperative player-versus-environment activities. Competitive player-versus-player content is also planned, suggesting the game will combine social progression with more direct conflict between users.

Building a separate mobile experience gives the developers freedom to design touchscreen controls, session lengths and online systems around phones from the beginning. It also means players should not assume that content, saves or progression will match the existing PC and console game. Palworld's combination of creature collecting, crafting and survival generated enormous attention, but turning that formula into a persistent MMORPG creates new challenges.

The game will need to support large numbers of players without making exploration feel crowded or base building overly restricted. Monetisation will also be closely watched because the original game's popularity was built around a premium purchase rather than a mobile free-to-play model. More details are expected before launch, but Palworld Online is already one of the highest-profile licensed mobile projects scheduled for 2026.
