nubia launches Neo 5 Max and Neo 5 GT Special Edition gaming phones in the Philippines

nubia has expanded its Philippine gaming-phone lineup with the launch of the Neo 5 Max and Neo 5 GT Special Edition. The Neo 5 Max is the more unusual device, using a huge 7.5-inch display that nubia describes as a PadPhone format sitting between a conventional smartphone and a small tablet. It is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7100, includes a 7,100mAh dual-cell battery and uses 990Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 to provide physical-style shoulder controls for games. The phone is priced at PHP 19,999.

The Neo 5 GT Special Edition moves further toward enthusiast gaming hardware with a 6.8-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 7400-class chipset, 6,210mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Its AquaCore system combines liquid and active air cooling in an effort to control temperatures during long sessions. The GT Special Edition costs PHP 26,999. Both phones are part of nubia's broader NeoVerse gaming strategy and are being promoted with launch offers through August 8.

The two models target different priorities: the Max emphasises enormous screen space at a lower price, while the GT Special Edition focuses more directly on cooling, refresh rate and sustained gaming performance.
