OPPO Reno16 series launches in the Philippines with 120Hz and 144Hz AMOLED options

OPPO has officially launched the Reno16 Series 5G in the Philippines today, expanding the range with the Reno16 F 5G, Reno16 5G and Reno16 Pro 5G. The Reno16 F starts at PHP 44,999 and combines a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 7,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The standard Reno16 5G uses a 6.32-inch Crystal Guard+ AMOLED display with a 2640 by 1216 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 1,800 nits. The Reno16 Pro 5G also uses a 6.

The launch reinforces the increasing overlap between mainstream camera-focused phones and gaming hardware: high-refresh OLED displays, large batteries and fast charging are no longer limited to devices marketed specifically to gamers.

OPPO is still positioning the Reno family primarily around design and photography, but the Pro's high-refresh support makes it a more credible entertainment device than earlier generations. Philippine buyers now have another premium Android option ahead of the busy late-2026 flagship season.
