Brawlhalla adds Shrek, Fiona and Puss in Boots in limited-time crossover

Brawlhalla has gone green with a new Shrek crossover that brings several characters from the animated franchise into Ubisoft's free-to-play platform fighter. Shrek, Fiona and Puss in Boots appear as playable crossover characters, while Donkey joins the event as a companion. The collaboration runs until August 19, giving players a limited window to explore the themed content and collect associated items.

Brawlhalla has built much of its long-term live-service strategy around crossover events, using guest characters to create fresh visual identities without changing the core competitive combat system. The Shrek partnership fits that approach particularly well because the characters have exaggerated silhouettes and fighting styles that can translate naturally into the game's fast, comedic battles.

Mobile players receive the same wider ecosystem benefit as users on other platforms, allowing the event to reach Brawlhalla's cross-platform audience rather than functioning as a phone-only promotion.
