Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 14 goes live with Dark Gifts of Dalaran

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 14, Dark Gifts of Dalaran, is now live on mobile and introduces a new system designed to make each match less predictable. From turn three onward, players can spend three Gold to Discover a minion paired with one of more than forty Dark Gifts. The option can be used three times per game, and waiting longer can produce stronger offers, creating a new risk-and-reward decision around when to spend resources.

Season 14 also introduces the Activate keyword, which allows certain minions to trigger abilities during the Recruit Phase by spending Gold once per turn. Pirates gain the Lockbox mechanic, which can temporarily seal away a Golden minion, while Beasts receive Fishbait, allowing specific units to attack during the Recruit Phase. Blizzard has also refreshed the Trinket pool with 23 new Lesser and 24 new Greater options and reset the seasonal Rewards Track with new cosmetic content.

The update is more substantial than a simple minion rotation because it changes how players budget Gold and plan their power spikes. For mobile Battlegrounds players, the new season should immediately alter established strategies and create fresh combinations to explore over the coming weeks.
