Google's Pixel 11 launch is now only a few days away, with the company confirming that pre-orders will open on August 12 alongside its Made by Google event in New York. The presentation begins at 6 p.m. Eastern Time and is expected to introduce several Pixel 11 models together with a new Pixel smartwatch and additional ecosystem products.
Google has already teased devices including the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, while leaks have focused heavily on the next Tensor processor, display changes and expanded AI capabilities. Until the event, those unconfirmed specifications should still be treated cautiously. For mobile gamers, the most important issue will be sustained performance. Previous Pixels have generally prioritised photography and machine-learning features rather than competing directly with gaming-focused Snapdragon phones.
Improved thermal management, battery efficiency and graphics performance could therefore matter more than another collection of AI demonstrations. Google is also using a more entertainment-oriented format for the 2026 show, suggesting it wants the Pixel launch to reach beyond traditional technology audiences. With pre-orders beginning immediately after the presentation, consumers will not have long to decide whether the new hardware represents a meaningful upgrade over discounted Pixel 10 devices.
