Palworld Online development continues as Garena rebuilds creature survival for mobile MMORPG play

Palworld Online continues to generate attention following Garena's announcement of the dedicated iOS and Android title. Scheduled for 2026, the game is not a direct port of Pocketpair's existing PC and console release. Instead, Garena is developing a large-scale mobile survival adventure with its own story elements and a persistent multiplayer structure. Players will explore an interconnected open world, collect and raise Pals, establish settlements and cooperate with other users.

Crafting and base building remain central, with Pals able to automate production and help defend shared settlements. Cooperative boss fights and competitive PvP are also planned. Garena says the interface is being designed specifically for mobile, including touch-friendly controls for construction, relocation and Pal management. That may prove essential because the original Palworld combines several systems that can become cumbersome on a small touchscreen.

The separate mobile design also gives Garena room to adjust performance for a wider range of phone specifications. Monetisation remains one of the biggest unanswered questions. Players familiar with the premium original will be watching closely to see how progression changes in an MMO environment. If handled carefully, Palworld Online could become one of 2026's largest mobile releases.
