Moto Pad 70 launches in India with 12.1-inch 2.5K screen and 10,200mAh battery

Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 in India today, making it one of the strongest genuinely new hardware stories of August 10. The tablet uses a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6400 chipset. A large 10,200mAh battery supports 68W wired charging, giving the device specifications aimed at long sessions of video, productivity and gaming.

Motorola includes a Moto Pen in the box, expanding the tablet's usefulness for handwriting, drawing and annotation without requiring buyers to purchase the stylus separately. Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos handle audio, while storage options extend up to 256GB. The tablet is positioned as a more conventional productivity and entertainment model than the audio-heavy Moto Pad 70 Groove released shortly before it.

For mobile gaming, the large battery is especially attractive, although the Dimensity 6400 targets mainstream performance rather than competing with high-end gaming tablets. The Moto Pad 70 also reflects renewed competition in Android tablets, where manufacturers are increasingly offering large displays, keyboard and stylus support, and batteries exceeding 10,000mAh without moving into flagship pricing.
