Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 approaches with Qingxiao, Jingran and new high-level combat

Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 is scheduled for August 20, and the latest preview information gives players a clearer picture of what they will be preparing for over the next nine days. The update introduces new five-star Resonators Qingxiao and Jingran alongside returning characters spread across its banner phases. Story content continues the Chapter IV narrative, while new Echo encounters and a Tactical Hologram challenge expand the combat side of the update.

Wuthering Waves has built much of its reputation on real-time combat that rewards dodging, parrying and rapid character switching, so challenging encounters are particularly important for experienced players who already have strong teams. Version 3.6 will also arrive with additional events and performance optimisation. Mobile users will be watching the latter closely because Wuthering Waves remains one of the more demanding open-world RPGs available on smartphones.

The timing is notable: it launches only a day after Neverness to Everness Version 1.3. Players invested in several live-service RPGs may therefore need to decide carefully how they divide both playtime and saved premium currency.
