Palworld Online continues development as Garena builds a mobile-first survival MMORPG

Garena's Palworld Online remains one of the year's biggest upcoming mobile projects, transforming Pocketpair's creature-collecting survival concept into a dedicated MMORPG for iOS and Android. The game is officially licensed but developed and published by Garena rather than Pocketpair itself. It is planned for release during 2026, although a specific launch date has not yet been announced.

Palworld Online will combine an interconnected open world with creature collection, crafting, settlement building and large-scale multiplayer systems. Cooperative and competitive activities are also planned, allowing players to use their Pals in shared PvE and PvP experiences. Garena is tailoring the interface for touchscreens rather than simply placing virtual controller buttons over the existing PC game.

That decision is crucial because construction, inventory management and creature commands can quickly become cumbersome on a phone. The biggest unanswered question remains monetisation, particularly for players accustomed to the premium PC and console version. If Garena can preserve the freedom and experimentation that made Palworld successful while adapting its systems intelligently to mobile, Palworld Online could become one of 2026's most important smartphone releases.
