Motorola confirms more than 50 phones are eligible for Android 17

Motorola has published a list confirming more than 50 smartphones that are set to receive Android 17. The supported devices span the company's Razr, Edge and Moto G families as well as other models, providing owners with a clearer picture of Motorola's software-update plans. Several recent foldables are included, such as the Razr Ultra and Razr Fold families, alongside a substantial number of conventional phones.

Motorola has already been testing Android 17 on selected hardware, but publishing a broader compatibility list is important because software support has become a major purchasing consideration. Google and Samsung have raised expectations by promising long update periods on many devices, forcing other manufacturers to provide greater clarity. The list confirms eligibility rather than guaranteeing that every phone will receive the update simultaneously. Rollouts are likely to vary by region, carrier and model.
