2026 foldable battle intensifies between Galaxy Z Fold8, HONOR Magic V6 and Motorola Razr Fold

The newest generation of book-style foldables is producing one of the category's most competitive comparisons yet. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8, HONOR's Magic V6 and Motorola's Razr Fold take different approaches to balancing screen size, battery capacity, weight, cameras and software. Samsung brings the most mature multitasking environment and extensive experience with foldable software, while HONOR continues pushing thin designs and large batteries.

Motorola's entry increases competition further by bringing the Razr name into the book-style category rather than restricting it to clamshell devices. Independent comparisons published this week highlight how quickly the category has moved beyond the experimental stage.
