Samsung's standard Galaxy Z Fold8 is moving through its first full week on sale, and its unusual wider proportions remain one of the most debated aspects of the device. The phone opens into a 7.6-inch display using an approximately 4:3 aspect ratio, creating a compact-tablet shape that is particularly comfortable for reading, websites, multitasking and many games.

Reviewers have generally praised the internal experience, but the wider closed form can make one-handed use and typing less comfortable than on a conventional smartphone.
