TCL's NXTPAPER 60 Ultra remains one of the more unusual smartphones appearing in the current Android hardware cycle. Its enormous 7.2-inch display places it close to small-tablet territory, while TCL's NXTPAPER technology is designed to reduce glare and make extended reading more comfortable than on a conventional glossy panel. The display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, giving navigation and supported games smooth motion despite the reading-oriented positioning.
MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 provides upper-mid-range processing power, accompanied by 12GB of RAM on key configurations. TCL has also included relatively ambitious camera hardware, including an optically stabilised main camera and periscope telephoto. Gaming performance will not match Snapdragon flagship devices, but the sheer screen area can make strategy games, RPGs and streaming particularly enjoyable. The obvious compromise is portability: a 7.2-inch phone will simply be too large for some users.
TCL is deliberately targeting people who value display comfort and content consumption over compact dimensions, giving the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra a distinct identity in an increasingly similar-looking Android market.
